Abstract (EN)
The purpose of the thesis is to examine the relative effects of different appeals orthemes to change attitudes and behaviors of Turkish drivers form differentsocial, cultural and demographic groups. Different slogans are formulated fromperspectives of attitude theories and asked top 600 drivers which slogan is moreeffective to become a careful driver. System, traffic system and norms has beenexplained. The important of norms has been told for traffic system. Statistics oftraffic accident in Turkey has been given knowledge. The Driver faults causingthe accident have been explained. For example, Running red light, hitting avehicle from the back, breaking speed rule, driving while intoxicated. On theother hand, Films which are about driver faults causing the accident in Turkeyhave been explained. Attitude and behaviour theories have been told. Forexample, theory of planned behavior, health belief model, fear arousal model,risk theories. In Turkey, different slogans have been formulated for `Hitting avehicle from the back? from the perspectives of attitude theories.
