Abstract (EN)

Along with the developments brought by modernization in recent years, significant changes have been observed in women's lives. Increase in interaction fields and opportunities provided for women has brought about discrimination areas defined as political, economic, social, cultural, civil or other areas and where women's participation is bound by certain conditions, limited by certain patterns or deprived or at best exposed to social exclusion. In a society, it is only possible for men and women to have equal conditions when they have equal conditions in all areas. Compared to world examples in any field, women put much more effort than men in order to hold on to that field. Even if women and men give better or same performance, there is a strong natural tendency to perceive men better. It is necessary to put forward social perceptions based on assigning much more value to men or less to women than their real worth on scientific ground. This study has been carried out in order to evaluate the perception of women in traffic accidents and to discuss the issue in terms of whether necessary awareness has been built.
