Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to determine the effects of Tribulus terrestris extraction on the proliferation of lymphocytes and three cancer cell lines, human breast cancer HepG2, HeLa, and liver cancer HC in gingivitis and antibacterial agent in mice. The inhibitory activity of the tumor cell line increased with the increase of the extract concentration. The highest inhibition rate for HeLa was 95.85% at 1000 µg\mL concentration, while the highest inhibition rate for HC cell line was 18.60% at 1000 µg/mL. In addition, the inhibitory effects of T. terrestris extracts at different concentrations on some bacteria were determined. Accordingly, the bacterial species used in the study are Staphylococcus aureus, Acinetobacter baumannii, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. High zone of inhibition was observed in Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (31.3 mm and 28.7 mm), followed by Acinetobacter baumannii and Escherichia coli (15.7 mm and 18.7 mm).
