Accreditation of laboratory: TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 application

In recent days, concepts of quality, standardization and accreditation are come to the situation which use more nested.In international trade to ensure the free movement of products and services carried out by WTO (World Trade Organization) with `the removal of technical barriers to trade in? working the importance of working towards accreditation services is increasing every day. To have more part in global markets is possible with being more reliable and competent. So, accreditation of conformity assessment bodies is became sought conditions.Laboratory sector is service sector. According to laboratories working unit, the importance of laboratory accreditation and registration is seen with regulations which is published by related ministry. Reliability and validity of test reports required to be accredited laboratory. For it is, to must be accredited by TURKAK, which is competent accreditation body. Pre-qualification and qualification, is depends on to be successful with prepared documents at audit which will make by related ministry.In line with all this informations, a study is made about laboratory accreditation. The main purpose of this study is offer a source which can be a guide to wanted to be accredited laboratory. As well as, when looking to literature, the other purpose is become that too small number of the studies and practices.This study consists of three main parts.In the first part; literature research about quality and standardization, the place of our lives of standardization, history and benefits of ISO 17025 norm.In the second part; can be seen information about accreditation concept, accreditation bodies, accreditation process and steps, international dimension of accreditation.In the third part; presentation of application laboratory and ISO 17025 norm installation and samples are got involved.Key Words: WTO World Trade Organization, Laboratory sector, Standardization, Accreditation, TS EN ISO IEC 17025, Pre-qualification, Qualification, TÜRKAK.
