In this study, the reduction of iron oxides using domestic raw materials was investigated. For this purpose, in the calculation made depending on the time at different temperatures of the pellets prepared without applying the mechanical activation process of the blend prepared by adding 25% scale, 75% hematite and 40% lignite of the total material, it has understood that if the activation energy of the reactions is controlled by diffusion from the product layer the activation energy is 73.46 kJ/mol and if the reaction is controlled by chemical reaction on the surface it is 64.10 kJ/mol. By keeping the 40% lignite content constant, 25%, 50% and 75% scale was added to the mixture, and grinding was carried out in a high-energy mill for 60 minutes before pelletizing. In these experiments, the temperature was chosen as 800, 900 and 1000°C, and the time was determined as 5, 10, 15, 30, 60 and 120 minutes. In all reduction experiments, it was observed that while the addition of wustite increased, there was a decrease in the degree of reduction. In experimental studies, the highest reduction degree is 25% scale, 75% hematite and 40% of the total amount of reducer (lignite) is grinded in a high energy mill for 60 minutes, and then the pellets are reduced at 1000°C for 120 minutes it was obtained as %98,25.
