Burnout syndrome and example of Denizli State Hospital nurses

This research aims to analyse the burnout syndrome and the burnout situation of the nurses working in the Denizli State Hospital. Literature survey and appraisal have been done in the theoretical part of the research. It has been conducted a survey to the 485 nurses in the Denizli State Hospital, results have been evaluated statistically. SPSS 20 program has been used in the analysis of the data. The research has been planned and realized in two parts. In the first part, the structure and theoretical basis of the burnout, the emergence and the ways of preventing the burnout have been handled. In this part, the conceptual framework of the burnout, the dimensions of the burnout and the models of the burnout, the factors that affect the emergence of the burnout, the personal and organizational ways of preventing the burnout have been analyzed. In the second part of the research, burnout level and the case of Denizli State Hospital have been analyzed. The acceptance or the rejection of the assumptions has been stated in the final section. It has been determined medium level burnout in the insensitivity, high level burnout in the emotional exhaustion and decreasing of personal success as a result of the research.
