Abstract (EN)

The society we live in; with the effect of social, cultural and economic change, traditional customs, traditions and rituals are transformed. It reflects itself in the social and cultural field. Culture; although it is an indispensable element of society; it is a set of values that differentiate societies from each other. Each society has its own unique culture. Henna night, which is a part of our culture, is considered as a fun and visual feast. The existence of organizastions that blend with henna nigts is the subject of the study. Today, organizastions become integrated with the henna night, as evidenced by every ceremony and invitation (engagement, wedding, circumcision, graduation). In this study, it is aimed to reveal the customs and traditions of henna nights in the town of Carsamba, Samsun, which is a part of our culture. The organizations held special for henna nigths, how the organizations emerged, why the organizations and henna coaches were preferred were examined. The social, economic and cultural characteristics of the people who were influential in the organization were examined. In addition, the reflections of the consumption society and the concept were examined. The relationship between consumption and conspicuous consumption was tried to be explained by associating it with organizational activity.
