Özet (EN)
The purpose of this study is to determine the incidence of occupational accidents and disease in Soma / Manisa and Tunçbilek / Kütahya thermal power plant. During the research the incidence of occupational accidents and catching a disease during the months between June to August 2009 is queried.For the research a questionnaire is used which was consist of 73 questions and SPSS software was used for the statistical analysis.All the employees were men. 56.9% of them was graduated in Technical High School and average age was 44.58 ± 8According to results of research 81.6 % was working as a shift working 65.3% was satisfied with their job, 71.9% was satisfied with their working conditions, 96.5% was received health report when they begun the work, 77.7% was trained occupational health and safety, 73.0% was trained about first aid, 38.5% was trained when their position was changed, 8.7% was trained when they had begun their position, 66.7% was trained by employer about their position, 81.9% had machine protector, 84.6% was used personel protector, 33.7% was trained about occupational accident risk, 3.2% had received occupational diseases, 6% had had occupational accident was declaredAs a result, the Power Plant workers had utilized from occupational health training and most of them hadn?t gotten an occupational accident or occupational disease.Key words: Thermal Plant, Occupational Disease, Occupational Accident, Occupational Safety
