Özet (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to determine the formation mechanisms of the carbonates studied by correlating the data obtained from sedimentological, petrographic and geochemical findings of continental carbonates (source deposits) located in and around Tunceli province. These carbonates have been formed along the edges of the Dinar and Munzur valleys. Therefore, the study area is divided into two regions (Dinar and Munzur). Through this study, three depositional environments in Dinar continental carbonates have been determined. (i) in the pool environment; undulating laminated stromatolite, calcareous laminar crust, (ii) dam (barrier) environment; phytobondstone, domal oncoidal stromatolite, (iii) in high slope environment; lithofacies of domal oncoidal stromatolite and domal non-oncoidal stromatolite have been observed. Three depositional environments have been identified in the continental carbonates of Munzur. (i) a waterfall environment; (ii) a slope environment; crystalline crust, cementstone, fenestral porous grainstone and coated component grainstone, (iii) lower slope area environment phytoclast grainstone and packstone lithofacies have been identified. Elemental analysis results of Dinar and Munzur carbonates have been showed different values from each other. Heavy metal concentrations in Munzur carbonates have very high values compared to Dinar carbonates. According to the results of the analysis showing the similar results of Dinar and Munzur carbonates, as a result of δ18O and δ13C stable isotope and total organic carbon analysis were revealed that these sediments were inorganic origin carbonates. According to 87Sr / 86Sr isotope analysis results, age of the reservoir rock of the fluid forming these rocks is Cretaceous. In addition, according to 18O(SMOW) (+19 and +21) values, the reservoir rock of these rocks is sedimentary rocks. Keywords: Tunceli, fluvial system, facies, continental carbonates, geochemistry
