Tunel formwork systems comparing with conventional formwork systems

Abstract (EN)

In country, TOKİ houses, which built using tunnel formwork systems, built instead buildings destroyed after Elazığ earthquake. These formwork systems previously used high-rise earthquake houses. These earthquake houses, which built before, were examined, but these examinations made according old earthquake regulations. In study we done; Considering 2018 Turkey Building Earthquake Code, changing projects and regulations mid-rise buildings will compared with old-style projects and regulations. When high-rise buildings built TOKİ before built with tunnel formwork systems, they advantageous in terms cost and speed. However, number studies showing comparison formwork systems terms cost, construction speed and earthquake resistance for these medium-rise buildings, which number floors, was reduced after Earthquake Code changed 2018, quite limited. For this reason, in thesis, was written reveal what be advantages and disadvantages terms cost, speed and resistance if earthquake houses with reduced floor numbers built conventional formwork systems. In this study, Toki Earthquake Housing project, which was built province Malatya, taken example First construction cost and duration building, which was built with the tunnel formwork system, were calculated, then earthquake resistances of project, which was transferred to package program, calculated. Later, same project was redrawn package program using conventional formwork system, and this time construction cost was calculated over project, it was learned how long would take complete, and earthquake resistances were revealed with transferred package program. The resulting result and both mold systems compared and results transferred our thesis. This study was carried out order be pioneer and guide for new earthquake houses to designed.
