Abstract (EN)

Women throughout history; They faced various problems in terms of being an individual and being accepted as an individual. As a result of the reflection of gender inequality on business life, women's employment opportunities have gradually narrowed, but with the development of tourism, business areas suitable for the role that society has assigned to women have also been opened. In particular, the housekeeping area emerges as an opportunity area where women can find a job easily. In parallel with this; In tourism, which is a sector suitable for women and where labor is intense; It is observed that the number of female employees is quite high. Women working in tourism mainly work in the front office and housekeeping departments. The main purpose of the research in this context; The aim is to determine whether there is a difference in gender perceptions of women working in the housekeeping department according to their demographic characteristics. The data within the scope of the research were collected from Belek and Kundu regions. The 220 collected questionnaires were analyzed according to demographic variables. In addition to descriptive analyses, one-way analyzes of variance were also performed in the study. According to the results of the analysis, it has been determined that the participants with low education level and the married participants have an understanding that sees men as superior.
