The main objections of this study are to analyze the institutionalization studies in hotels which are the tourism operations and to overview the applications of social responsibility principle, one of the corporate management principles. In the first part of the study, the organizational and managerial structures of the operations are mentioned and the notion of the institutionalization and corporate management is analyzed. And the social responsibility notion in tourism operations is overviewed in the second part of the study. In the third part, as an application of the study, a survey was conducted within the center of Izmir and Çesme district on 3, 4 and 5 star hotel operations. Tourism sector which positively affects the development of the Turkish economy, largely contributes to the rise of national income. Although the institutionalization of lodging operations and their working with the social responsibility awareness are some of the factors decreasing the income of the operation; at the same time, by thinking long-term, they increase the lifetime of the operation. Thus, institutionalization, corporate management in lodging operations and social responsibility concepts are found suitable for our study.
