Landscape designs with ecological approach within thescope of sustainability in tourism facilities

The last century in the world has been a period of rapid and continuous increase in technological developments. With the development of industry in cities, increasing migration from rural to urban to work in production centers, housing, transportation, commercial uses, fossil fuel consumption, misuse of land, pollution caused by greenhouse gases, production and consumption pressures have made these areas where environmental problems increase. As a result, the decrease in green areas in urban spaces and the destruction of natural and historical texture make life increasingly difficult and break human and nature relations. Thus, the stress and anxiety problems of people trapped in cities have negatively affected individuals socially and psychologically. The gradual increase in these negative situations has increased the needs of people such as spending more time on themselves and the need for a vacation has emerged. As a result, tourism activities, which cause economic and social effects in societies, have started to become one of the basic needs. However, with the increase in the number of tourism facilities, it has been observed that the number of damages to the environment has increased. All of these have led to the adoption of the concept of sustainability in cities and tourism. It is seen as the right approach to implement the landscape designs, which will be applied in order to ensure full sustainability in tourism facilities, with an ecological design approach. For this purpose, the landscape area of Sueno Hotels Beach Side, the study area of which is a tourism facility, was chosen. Literature research on the subject and the current situation of the study area were examined. In order to get information about the hotel, a face-to-face meeting was held with the General Manager and Quality Manager of the hotel regarding the environmental, economic and social dimensions of sustainable tourism. Based on the current situation of the study area, ecological landscape designs suitable for the study area were decided and suggestion studies were prepared by using design programs.
