Acquisition of citizenship in Turkey and Azerbaijan law

The thesis that we have examined is about the acquisition of citizenship in Turkish and Azerbaijani law. In terms of citizenship law system of both state, citizenship, legal dimensions of citizenship, ways of acquiring citizenship are discussed in detail. In our project, a detailed analysis of the criteria that are important in terms of citizenship law in Turkish and Azerbaijani law has been made. The thesis consists of three parts. In the first part, the consept of citizenship in Turkish and Azerbaijani law, its historical development, legal sources, general principles and types are mentioned. In the second part, procedures and principles of acquiring citizenship in Turkish law are discussed. In the third part, the procedures and principles acquiring citizenship in Azerbaijani law, honorary citizenship issues are mentioned and compared with Turkish law.
