Abstract (EN)

Bulgaria, seen on the world scene with their claiming of independence in 1878, has put an effort to bring about a political understanding of their own and through this understanding they have tried to find out a way of grasping the consciousness of becoming a state since then. Bulgaria, became one of the most important actors of Balkanic Wars. A new war turned inevitable when the biggest slice of the cake proved to be Bulgaria?s, as if to make the neighbor states jealous. However, in this second war, Bulgaria lost all their chance seen in the first war, and an important rate of territories. As it is a total disillusionment in many ways, this war has been a milestone for Bulgarians, because, with the experiences and the hatred of this war, Bulgaria defined at which side to take place in the First World War. During the inter-war years Bulgarians considered the status quo, dealt with general elections, made an effort to rearrange the relations with neighbor states, got closer with the Ottoman Empire, and separated its ways with Russia in a more certain way. As a result of all these; within the country, the voice of the opposition was loud enough to deafen the king, Bulgaria never gave the Muslims their rights which were only limited within the articles of the agreement and put a pressure on the Muslims, they made a secret wall of hatred, which was to remain there for a long time, between some neighbors, especially Romania and themselves, and in the First World War they fought with the Ottoman Empire, against which they fought in Balkanic Wars, and they kept their opposite side to Russia whose unsteady policies they were tired of.
