This study examines the represantation of Syrian asylum seeker women in the Turkish Press. In this context, the news of the Syrian women printed in Cumhuriyet, Hürriyet, Sabah, Sözcü and Türkiye newspapers, having different ideological stances and owner types, are analyzed from April 2011, when the Syrians started entering Turkey, until the end of 2018. This news items were obtained through the database of PRNet, a media monitoring company, using the keywords "Syrian women". The aim of the study is to determine the perspective of the Turkish Press towards Syrian refugee women coming to Turkey during the Syrian Civil War and to present the issues about these women. The research problem focuses on how the Syrian refugee women are represented in the Turkish press. The method of the study is quantitative and qualitative content analysis. The findings of the study show that the general perspective of the Turkish print media on Syrian refugee women is positive and balanced. The press coverage shows some similarities to the international stereotypic "refugee" and "female" representations in terms of representation characteristics. In addition, the ideological stances of the newspapers are manifested in the context of news or government criticism or praise according to the political positions of newspapers.
