The crime of enforcing to prostitution in Turkish criminal law

The crime of prostitution, or to put it more accurately, the crime of enforcing to prostitution, is defined as a crime in our law. In our study, in which we mainly examined the elements of this crime, the process of prostitution from its emergence in the past until today is also evaluated. In addition, the legal status of prostitutes and whorehouses and our suggestions for reducing prostitution were also included in our thesis. In the first part, the concept of prostitution and its historical development in the world and in our country are discussed. Legal regulations and international agreements on prostitution are also included. In addition, this is the section where we examine the legal status of general women and brothels in our country. In this section, where general women's working conditions and the important rules that brothels must comply with are explained, our suggestions for reducing prostitution and protecting women in general are also included. In the second part, the elements of the crime of prostitution were examined. In the crime investigation, first of all, the protected legal value was determined. Then, typicality analysis was carried out. Material and moral elements are specified in terms of the crime being suitable for the type. Then, the situations that affect the defect situation due to the reasons for compliance with the law were determined and expressed. In the third chapter, the special appearance forms of the crime are evaluated separately. The rules on sanctions and judgment are also discussed under separate headings; The study was concluded by expressing the special provision specific to the crime of prostitution.
