Abstract (EN)

In this study, we discussed the crime of ?The misuse of bank and credit cards? of which legislated in 5237 number Turkish Penal Code article 245.This TPC article 245 is an information technology crime committed by an information technology system. For this reason, firstly we explained the concepts of information technology crime and information system. Subsequently, we mentioned about corpus delicti of which is bank and credit cards and their emergences. In addition, we also gave information about internet banking and the methods for misusing bank and credit cards, and how to cope with such misuses.The article number 245 is regulated in three items. In order to examine this crime in details, we divided first item into two and investigated as four different crimes. We especially focused on problems of session and mentioned about Supreme Court decisions and approaches of doctrine. In order to contribute to performing this article successfully, we covered the weaknesses of it, problems in application, critics and our proposals all together.
