Financial evaluation of Turkish cement manufacturers between 2015-2020

The cement sector, which is one of the most important sub-sectors of the Turkish construction sector, has an important share in a country's economy. In this study, the financial data of 16 companies operating in the cement sector among the stone and soil-based companies registered in the BIST for the years 2015-2020 were analyzed with the ratio analysis method. According to the obtained results, the situation of the cement sector before and during the crisis has been interpreted. Consequently, it has been concluded that the financial structure of cement companies shows a strong and balanced structure considering the Turkish conditions. However, it is estimated that companies may need to take additional measures if the pandemic process continues.
