An evaluation on graduate theses done in the field of Turkish language in Turkey

In the light of Master and Ph.D theses carried out so far, a thesis subject assesing strengths and weaknesses of this field was formed. As the relevant theses comprise various aspects of the language, a classification was done according to the subjects. Then, a categorization was done according to periods and universities, and as a result, a complete evaluation was made. This study consists such parts as introduction, analysis and conclusion. In the end, the question what sub-fields of the language contain studies satisfactorily and what sub-fields do not was tried to be answered. In this sense, this study will shed light on future relevant studies. This thesis aims to identify the graduate studies conducted in the field of Turkish Language so far. The study also aims to determine which field the preliminary studies of Turcology were conducted in, what kind of changes have been so far, what the lacks of the language research are. We further aim to support the development of the language by classifying the relevant literature, and putting them together properly. We think that this study answers some important question marks, and draws attention to the points not illluminated so far.
