Semantic events formed by phono-semantic metamorphosis in Turkic language

The constant transformation and evolution of language in terms phonetics and morphology are indicators of its living nature. The emergence of the need for new words in language is one of the reasons for these changes and transformations. There are various ways to fulfill the need for new words. It is stated that the phono-semanic metamorphosis, which is described as the differentiation of sound and meaning seen in two or more words from the same root, can be added between the ways in which Turkish enriched the vocabulary. Can phono-semantic metamorphosis be considered as a word derivation path? In which words in the Turkic language did phono-semantic metamorphosis appear? answers to questions were sought. The Turkic written language, which is classified as Old Turkish, Middle Turkish, New Turkish and Contemporary Turkish, is based on. Since the time is limited, the language examined in the Contemporary Turkish period of Turkish, Turkey Turkish, Turkmen Turkish, Uzbek Turkish, Kyrgyz Turkish, Altai Turkish, Çuvash, Yakut and Halach. Considering the limitations, it was determined that phono-semantic metamorphosis occurred in 760 words in the Turkic language. Which has undergone worsening meaning with the sound events of spirantisation, continuity and fluency in the contemporary Turkish period, Kök. yıpar "incense, fragrance" ~ Yak. sımar "foul odor, stench; clogged gas accumulation" the word is one of the words that occur phono-semantic metamorphosis. The distribution of phono-semantic metamorphosis in the sound units at the beginning of the word and the frequency of sound and meaning events in phono-semantic metamorphosis were examined.
