Özet (EN)

In the last twenty years, folkloric studies has significantly increased in Turkey. Every piece belongs to the folklore has been tried to be evaluated, registered, and collected datas has be studied in the academic platforms. Since "legend" is distinguished as a separate type from the "fable", compilations of legends has accelerated. From 1960s onward in which folkloric studies has started to be accepted as a different discipline in Turkey, in order to register every region's legends, incentives have been given and competitions have been organized. When we consider academic thesis between 1990-2000, we can see that compilations of the legends of Anatolia are prevailing. After 2000 we can see the translations to the Turkish of Turkey and studies of the legends of the communities of the Turkish world. These studies while approaching to the collected legends in a wholistic perspective, prefers the classification of the writings. There are a few thesis that examine motifs in a detailed manner. In our studies, a detailed motif examination has been made about the animal motifs in the legends of the communities of the Turkish world and the animal motifs that has been frequently encountered has been determined.
