Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to determine the general situation in the relevant field by examining the in-service professional studies conducted for the professional development of teachers working under the Ministry of National Education (MONE) according to certain criteria in the context of goals, methods and results by type, branch and year, and to reveal the trends of the studies in terms of different variables. For this purpose, systematic review model has been preferred from qualitative research methods. The data source of the research is the studies in the Council of Higher Education (Dec) National Thesis Center database and Dergipark database on in-service education between 2013-2023. The examined studies were coded by creating themes within the sub-problems (type, branch, year, purpose, subject, study group, study method, data collection tool, data analysis method, result) that sought answers. The data were collected using the document review technique and subjected to content analysis. As a result of the research, it was determined that the vast majority of the studies conducted were master's thesis and general branch studies, and the vast majority of the studies were conducted after 2017. Studies are often master'sdegree-type studies conducted to determine the opinions of teachers about general branches, while doctoral studies are mainly conducted for the purpose of developing and evaluating educational programs. Looking at the distribution according to the subjects, studies have been conducted on general topics related to general branches. If it is for specific subjects, it is observed that there are more studies on technology and teaching models / strategies and methods, studies on technology are in the type of articles and Ph.D. for general branches, and studies on teaching models / strategies and methods are in the type of master's degree for English branch. The majority of the participants of the studies are teachers. A large part of the studies were carried out using the qualitative research method and the case study pattern. It has been observed that one, two and three different data collection tools are often used in the studies. The data obtained in the studies were analyzed by content analysis method, one of the qualitative analysis methods. When looking at the results obtained from the studies, it was concluded that the studies with positive results were excessive, however, the opinion prevailed that the trainings given in the studies with negative results were insufficient and did not meet the needs. In this direction, it has been proposed to carry out more studies aimed at the needs of teachers.
