Abstract (EN)

From the evoluation of economic activities performed in the market, traditional organization theories don?t take the behavior of individual managers, decisions, believes, values into consideration. For this reason, the organizations aredefined as izolated creatures to reduce the interorganizational relationships tocompetitive state. From the introduction of institutional theory, social effects arestarted for discussion. In the frame of the approach of network theory and socialembeddedness, the economic activities performed by the organizations are notindependent from the social relationships of the individual managers. Therefore theinterorganizational relationships in terms of socio-economic factors are beingdiscussed in order to understand the role of social capital on economic activities. In this study, starting from the debate in the frame of the approach ofnetwork theory and social embeddedness for understanding the effect of culturalvalues of the Turkish society, some interviews are performed with 32 firms inOSTİM (Middle East Industry and Commerce Center) Organized Industrial Region. The main objective of this research is to realize differences in the relationship qualityunder which circumstances, break points in relationships and to understand thereasons, and form suggestions to test for future proposals.
