Özet (EN)

The primary school period covers the age of 6-10 years of the child. This period is seen as one of the most critical periods of life due to the formation and formation of the personality of the child, and the effect on the advanced years in terms of acquiring and developing knowledge, skills and habits. Children encounter visual and written tools from the first stages of their lives. Fairy tale and story books are examples of children's first experiences in the field of literature and are used as an indispensable tool in the education of children. In this research, 870 Turkish Folk Tale was examined and three fairy tales were selected from these tales. The selected tales were read to the students and a questionnaire was applied to the students. According to the results of the survey, whether the children were affected by the fear and violence in the fairy tales, whether these tales were found to be fun and the content of the elements of fear and violence were taken. As a result; most of the children expressed that they are not affected by these elements. Besides, students have found the punishments given to the characters in the fairy tales.
