Application of chorus technics in turkish folk music (Example of TRT and Ministry of Culture and Turism )

At the beginning of the 20th century, media has become important in human life via the new technologic inventions. Especially, record techniques and radio has an important role in acceleration of cultural communication. Turkish Folk Music is a music genre that has an improved native speech in terms of tone and performing. Via the invention of media, folk melody, that is special for only one region, able to be known in different regions too.The idea of compiling and announcing folk music around the country through radio poses the formation of Turkish Folk Music under the organization of Turkish Radios. Firstly, performances start with communities then, they become as a model for creation of Turkish Folk Music Chorus. In the thesis which is named as Application of Chorus Technics in Turkish Folk Music (example of TRT and Ministry of Culture and Turism )? , by considering performing and singing techniques in local performance, the music structures in TRT and Ministry of Culture Turkish Folk Music Chorus are tried to be studied.In the first part of the thesis, traditional performing models and suggested studies about restructuring Turkish Folk Music with a new understanding, and publish of folk music at the beginning of establish of TRT are investigated. In the second part, via the traditional performance techniques; musical performing structures of Turkish Folk Music choruses and groups are studied in terms of alphabetical order. In the third part of the thesis, the position of chorus structure of Turkish Folk Music at 21st century is studied .Also, in the third part, the problems in restructuring Turkish Folk Music Choruses are included with the eligible artist?s and chorister?s interview, and solutions are suggested.In the preparation of this investigation comprehensive literature study is made and opinion of necessary experts are consulted. This thesis is an preliminary work in order to go further musical investigations in concerned institutions.
