Use of technology in Turkish Folk Music and the problem of copyright (Youtube example)

Turkish Folk Music is an important cultural heritage product within the Turkish cultural world, which can reflect the feelings and thoughts of our society in the purest and simplest form and play an active role in the formation of our cultural memory. With the development of technology, music has entered a new era, so Turkish Folk Music has entered a digital world. With this process, both the change in recording technologies and the digital platforms that emerged in the transfer of the recording to the audience have gained importance as a new subject and area of study. The aim of this study named `` The Use of Technology in Turkish Folk Music and the Problem of Copyright (Youtube example) '' is to create a literature for the field by showing the change and development in recording technologies with structural device examples of sound recording technology since the invention of Phonogram, To draw attention to the copyright issue by examining the copyright issues on the Youtube example. As the method of this study, literature was searched, and professional associations such as Copyright Professional Associations MESAM and MÜYAP were interviewed. What are the technological tools and equipment used in Folk Music? What are the developing computer and internet tools of the present time? What are we exposed to while we are making our own music and using the technological actors required by the age? Many questions such as How did digital music affect Turkish Folk Music in terms of copyright? From the people who produce Turkish folk music to the people who consume, from the folk poet to the arranger working in the studio, the music director, the instrument artist and the digital sales portal that is a bridge of music, it is aimed to contribute to the use of computers in Turkish Folk Music in order to prevent loss of copyright.
