Abstract (EN)
This study contains suggestion of a new criterion resultant of comparison of rules and criterions of folk dance competitions which have made by various instituiıons in our country but each of which have different criterions and rules.When the competitions which are very important for the future of folk dances are in question, the competitions arrenged by different institutions, many criterions and rules used in this competitions still prevent our folk dances from developing properly. In order that our folk dances arrive at a sufficient level this mess should be ceased. Instead of different rule and criterion in every competition, first of all, it needs to determine common rules and criterions which can be used in all competitions.In the introduction part of the study, it is given information about the topic, importance, goal and method of the study.In the first chapter, it is deliberated about concepts of dance and play in folk dances, acquainted about the understanding of Sakarya University State Conservatory in Turkish dance anthropology. In the second chapter, it is stated about the institutions that are interested in Turkish folk dances and the short history of the competitions made before.In addition, on the base of institution folk dance competitions? rule and criterions are written. In the third chapter, the rules and criterions applied in competitions are compared.
