Abstract (EN)

This research is a descriptive study to determine the physical activity levels of Turkish Folk Dance players according to the game types. The working group consists of individuals who have been dealing with folk dances for at least five years across Turkey in 2021. A total of 180 (77 Women, 103 Men) folk actors voluntarily participated in our work. Actors with musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, metabolic and other system problems that may affect physical activity habits, who have been using drugs (including oral contraceptive therapy) for the last three months, and whose body mass index (BMI) is over 35 kg/m2 are included in the study. not included. In order to collect data in the study, a personal information form with 11 questions was used by the researcher and the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (UFAA - International Physical Activity Questionnaire) (Craig et al. 2003). The validity and reliability study of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire was conducted in Turkey (Öztürk 2005). SPSS 22.0 program was used for the statistical analysis of the data in the research. In the data in the study, descriptive statistics calculations were made. It was determined that the data showed normal distribution and parametric tests were applied. In statistical analysis, variables indicated by measurement are mean, standard deviation (X/ss); Variables indicated by count were expressed as percentages. Independent sample t-test for paired groups, One Way ANOVA for multiple groups, Spearmans' correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship between variables. As a result of the research, it was observed that the physical activity levels of most of the folk actors (80.6%) were insufficient. Men's vigorous physical activities were found to be higher than women's. The physical activities of those who were single in terms of marital status were found to be higher. It was observed that non-smokers had more physical activity of moderate intensity, walking and overall. It has been determined that regular workers perform more walking activities. While no difference was observed in terms of playground, alcohol use, number of children and educational status, a significant increase was observed in moderate intensity and walking parameters with increasing age.
