Özet (EN)

The installment sale contract is one of the main instruments of consumption economy. In this contract, there are consumers/buyers who are, economically, weak and have lack of information about features of goods purchased. Due to this, there is a need to "consumer protection", one of the main instruments of modern law systems. In this context, there is, especially, need to the installment sale contract that have widespread use. Therefore, in many countries, special regulations in the installment sale contract have done towards protecting buyers/consumers. To protect buyers/consumers buy goods by installment, the installment sale contract has been regulated with 222nd article and following articles of the Obligations Law and 6th article of Regarding to Protect Consumers Law numbered 4077. Since related articles of the Obligations Law are still in force, it is required examining the installment sale contract from the both law point of view. Protecting consumers/buyers in the installment sale contract is so important in some subjects namely; delays in paying installments, delivering defective goods and providing enough information related to conditions of contract. In those subjects, obligatory regulations have done in order to prevent sellers exploiting buyers/consumers.
