Abstract (EN)

As the internet became more and more widespread in recent years, internet newspapers became an indispensable part of our lives. In addition to this, the internet has brought about many changes in internet newspapers with many technological innovations. These rapid changes and the technological infrastructure provided by the internet enabled the interaction between readers and reporters to increase and to follow this interaction instantly. These changes inevitably led to changes in news writing and presentation. In this context, clickbait journalism is a new concept in terms of news presentation. This study, which you hold in your hand, has categorized the articles scanned on hurriyet.com.tr and milliyet.com.tr web sites between 15-21 July 2019 and haber7.com.tr and ensonhaber.com.tr web sites between 21-27 August 2019 according to whether they are clickbait news or not. And the these news divided sub-categories according to news type, headline format and visual usage format. With these examinations, it was determined how the clickbait news was presented in terms of the news type, the title type and the visual type used in the presentation of the news. The results were discussed in terms of journalism ethics in the conclusions and discussion section. Key Words: Clickbait, internet, internet journalism, journalism ethics
