Abstract (EN)
Psychology has a long history; this field started to be studied as a separate discipline from 1879 while taking part in philosophy in the last quarter of the 19th century. Psychology was examined in Islamic philosophy in the 19 th century under the title of ''İlm'ün Nefs'' in İslamic Philosophy. We decided to make this study based on the fact that the Turkish psychology area is not familiar with its cultural heritage and the studies of Turkish-Islamic physicians and their thoughts are not known enough. The main psychological treatment methods used in the Turkish-Islamic period; medical treatment, treatment with shock and suggestion, treatment with occupation, treatment with fragrance, treatment with water sound and music. The most important of these methods used in the treatment of psychological diseases is the treatment with music. In our study, Turkish-Islamic music was compared with the music therapy practices of today and has been found to be similar in some aspects. In this thesis, it is aimed to introduce the studies of Turkish-Islamic era "İlm'ün Nefs'' (Psychology) to the psychology literature of today. Our thesis consists of two main parts. In the first part, the Turkish-Islamic era psychological treatment methods are examined in detail and, in the second part, the previous period music therapy methods were examined and compared with the today's music therapy practices.
