Social ve political improvement of Turkish woman

This study was done to examine the periods Turkish women have had so far. To examine the degrees which have been gained in women's rights step by step is the topic of this thesis. In Hitits, the King's wife had the right to stamp with a seal of her own signet - ring beside her husband's seal. This event was the best proof of the political right which was given to the women. The women who had got lots of rights in Turkish states moved backward after Turks accepted the Islam. The women who lived in the Ottoman Empire lived more freely than the other women who lived in other Islam States by the help of the Ottoman government, professional and cultural education possibilities were provided to the women who lived during the political reform in 1839, and in the period of the Constitutional Government these rights were expanded more. During the national war the women who were in Anatolia struggled behind their men to defend their country against occupation. In the Republic Period Turkish women had completely gained their rights. By the help of the revolutions Mustafa Kemal Atatürk did, the woman was the single wife of her husband and the woman was a child who could get inheritance from her father any more and also in the educational area, the woman was contemporary now. By the women associations, the women who gained right to in the International area took part in the world platform with their new political rights after the Republic was declared. rv
