Abstract (EN)
Fast developments in science and technology formed the knowledge community.This variation affected the states like other organizations.Using the technology became an obligation for all countries for economical development and social growing.New government model which is connected to technology was defined as e-Government..Better delivery of government services to citizens, and more efficient government management became possible with e-Government model.Also;less corruption, increased transparency, greater convenience, revenue growth and cost reductions are the other benefits of e-Government.e-Government aims to make the interaction between government and citizens more friendly,convenient,transparent and inexpensive.In spite of there is not a standard definition of e-Government in academic literature,e-Government is defined as a government project which public services are presented faster and more productive.Before proposing e-Government for solving the problems in Turkish public administration,the concept of e-Government must be known well.e-Government is not a management model that can be adapted to our country in short time. After technical,legal and social substructures,it will be possible to talk about e-Government.e-Government is a management model which can be successful by the participation and coordination of all the units of govenment and all the sections of society,Turkey?s General Directorate of Security now handles applications and related transactions for passports, visas, driver?s licenses and other important documents electronically using advanced Technologies.PolNet is an important example of e-Government applications in Turkey.
