Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to assess the efficiency, productivity an performance of Turkish Islamic banking industry and Malaysian Islamic banking industry which is pioneering in the world. In this way rapid growing Islamic banking industry is investigated and Islamic banking concept is explained. Operations and the development of the industry is investigated and the comparison is made between Turkey and Malaysia. Analysis are made for time period 2008-2012. Data envelopment analysis is used for analysing efficiency of banks and total factor productivity is analyzed by malmquist total factor productivity index. The performance of banks are analyzed by TOPSIS method. Findigs will shed to understand the position of Turkish Islamic banking industry in the world.
