Hafez Osman Dede in Turkish Music

Our research has been made by using Hafız Osman Dede's life, works, literature and archives in Turkish Music. Our research consists of an introduction section and two sub-sections. In the introduction section; the importance and purpose of the research, the method and limitations of the research and the evaluation of the sources reached. In the first section; Hafız Osman Dede period Turkish music in Hafiz Osman Dede period, Turkish music in Mosul and Hafız Osman Dede's music were examined under an overview of Ottoman music musicians. In the second part; Under the tradition of memory in Turkish music, the definition, tradition, system, education and relationship with music, and the important music in Turkish music are examined. In the third section; The life of Amâ Hafız Osman Dede, who was born in Mosul, was examined in detail. His life was presented biographically and his ideas about his life and periodic conditions were created by focusing on many subjects such as his family, his education, his relationship with Sufism and religion, his scientific works. However, the works of Hafız Osman Efendi, which have survived to the present day, have been researched and compiled as a source. In the study, the translation of our Arabic and English sources was overlapped with Turkish language structure as much as possible. In Arabic and English to Turkish translation, some meanings could not be found. This problem has been tried to be solved with meaningful words by looking at the general meaning integrity of the sentence and paragraph. In the conclusion and evaluation part, Ottoman Musikishinas of Hafiz Osman Dede period, Turkish music in Mosul and Musik environment of Musullu Hafiz Osman Dede were evaluated. However, Hafizlik tradition and important hafiz music in Turkish music were compared. Hafiz Osman Dede's life in Musullu and his contribution to Turkish religious music were evaluated through the period and the traces he left to the present day.
