Power struggle in Turkish novel (1923-1980)

There is close relation between the history of literature and culture and history of thought, society and politics. Great poets, writers and thinkers shed light on the social and political events of their period through their works. In this way, they give different perspectives of ideas to both the generation they live in and to future generations. The period between 1923-1980 started with the proclamation of the Republic. During this period, social and political transformations and collapses were experienced one after another. Such as the Single Party Period, World War II, the Multi-Party Political Process, the Cold War, 68-generation youth movements, the May 27th coup d'etat and the March 12 memorandum. In addition to being a member of the society, novelists who have an above-average intellectual knowledge and a worldview based on knowledge reflected their social and political thoughts in their novels. In this study titled Power Struggle in Turkish Novel (1923-1980); direct and / or indirect reflection of power struggles reflected in Turkish novel has been analysed by taking political institutions, political periods, society and individual variables into consideration.
