Abstract (EN)

In this study titled `Psychoanalytic Searches in Turkish Cinema? elaborates on the position and process of the cinema and psychoanalysis in Turkish cinema, after their intersection in the world cinema.The connection between psychoanalysis, which explains the things behind the human behavior through the `causality? principle, and cinema, which takes human as the basis and presents the audience some fragments taken from inside the life, is not new. However, it is seen that it is possible to create more deep and reliable characters through more consciously constructed bonds. In that context, the psychoanalytic decoding of the movies taken from Turkish cinema which has unfortunately newly started to produce relevant examples was done for four movies chosen which are namely Takva, Everything About Mustafa, The Women of Beyza and Craziness Certificate. Moreover, the creativity period of these movies which was also reflected on the characters during scenario and direction stages was analyzed and the behaviors of the characters is tried to be explained from a psychoanalytic point of view.
