Abstract (EN)

Disability status refers to a social risk guaranteed by social security law. Disability insurance provides support to people suffering from economic disability due to their disabilitiy. In the Turkish Social Security System, the state of invalidity is considered among the long-term insurance branches and has been explained in Articles 25 to 27 in the Social Insurance and General Health Insurance Law No. 5510. In the study, the importance of disability insurance the conditions to qualify for disability pension, and the benefits provided from disability insurance are explained in a comparative manner by considering SSI (SSK), ISEI (BAĞ-KUR) and Retirement Fund Laws. The problems that may arise in practice and the solution suggestions related to them were evaluated and a solution was tried to be found.
