Abstract (EN)
Soviet Union was established after the Bolshevik Revolution in Rusia during the First World War. First relations with Soviets have begun in the period of Turkish national struggle. Especially in the period of Atatürk and Lenin, Turkish-Soviey relations have developed positively. Soviet Russia has supported the Turkey in the Lausanne Peace Treaty. Between Turkey and Soviet Russia signed Friendship and Neutrality Treaty in 1925. In the Montreux Treaty has been the support of Soviet Russia. This situation has taken abroad place in the Turkish press. However relationships was distorted after the Atatürk period. Soviet Russia has been pressured Turkey to enter the war in the Second World War. Military bases inthe straits and territorial claims of Soviet Russia has been further distorted relations after the Second World War. This issue has been widely covered in the Turkish press. Turkish-Soviet relations have further deteriorated with Turkey's entry into NATO. Soviet Russia initially supported the Greeks, but later agreed with the Turks, on Cyprus issue. This has led to normalization of relations. In the normalization process of Turkish-Soviet relations has been reciprocal visits. These visits have been frequently featured in the press. On 20 August 1991 a military coup has been in Soviet Russia and the Soviet Union has destroyed. The disintegration of the Soviet Union has been a widely covered in the Turkish press. Turkey has established relationshipsthe new republics formed by disintegration of the Soviet Union. Key Words: Turkey, The Turkish Press, Soviet Union, Bolshevik Revolution, Straits, Foreign Policy.
