Right to work and freedom of work of foreigners of Turkic origin

This study aims to deal with the regulations regarding the right to work of foreigners of Turkic origin, which have recently become important in terms of Turkish law, to examine how people of Turkic origin can benefit from the different status granted to them in terms of the right to work, which professions this status is valid for and to determine the limits of this status. Our study consists of two parts. In the first part, the concept of foreigner in general, types of foreigners, the right to work for foreigners, the conditions that foreigners have to have in order to benefit from the right to work, and the restrictions on the right to work for foreigners are mentioned. In the second part, firstly, the concept of foreigners that are of Turkic origin was examined, then in which professions freedoms were provided to them in terms of the right to work, in which professions restrictions were imposed on this freedom of work, the procedures and principles regarding the work permit were examined, and finally, the social security rights, political rights and the right to be a member of professional organizations are included in this last part. Although foreigners of Turkic origin have legally different rights and freedoms from other foreigners in terms of the right to work with the Law No: 2527 and the Implementation Regulation of this Law, which is adopted on the right to work for foreigners of Turkic origin, some problems come up in practice. In our study, these problems arising in practice are also included.
