Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to investigate the relationships between self-esteem, peer bullying and social support among Turkish and Syrian students attending 4th grade in primary school. In this study, the relationships between dependent variables (self-esteem, peer bullying, social support level) were examined and the differences between the groups formed on the basis of sociodemographic variables were investigated in terms of dependent variable levels. In this research, a questionnaire was formed to collect data. The scales in the questionnaire were selected after necessary literature review. Data were collected over the internet and the data collection process was supervised by the researcher. The questionnaire consists of 3 sections and eighty-seven questions. To students; Personal Information Form, Peer Bullying Scale, Self-Esteem Scale and Social Support Scale questionnaires were applied. SPSS program was used for data analysis. As a result of the data analysis, a negative, weak relationship between peer bullying and self-esteem; a positive, weak relationship between peer bullying and social support; a positive, weak relationship was found between self-esteem and social support. The findings were discussed in the context of the relevant manuscript.
