Abstract (EN)
Aim: This research was conducted to evaluate the effect of religious health fatalism on healthy life awareness of Turkish and foreign students. Method: The research was conducted descriptively between January 2021 and January 2022. The population of the research consisted of Turkish and foreign students studying at Fırat University. The sample of the study consisted of a total of 640 students, 320 of whom were Turkish and 320 foreign nationals, selected from this population. Introductory information form, Health Fatalism Scale (SKS) and Healthy Life Awareness Scale (HLAS) were used to collect data. In the evaluation of the data; descriptive statistics, t test, One Way Anova, correlation and regression tests were used. Results: HLAS and HFS mean scores of Turkish students were higher than those of foreign students. It was determined that there was a positive and weakly significant relationship between the HFS and the total mean scores of the HLAS scale of Turkish and foreign students (r=.274, p=0.00; r=.216, p=0.00). The regression model, which was used to examine the relationship between HFS and HLAS in Turkish and foreign students, was found to be significant (p<0.05). Conclusion: It was found that health fatalism of Turkish and foreign students predicted awareness of healthy life.
