Abstract (EN)
Although the history of the art of printmaking dates back to before Christ, it is known that the first printed paintings were encountered in Germany during the Renaissance Period. Woodcut art dating back to the Renaissance period was used by artists for writing and pictures. Johannes Gutenberg, the founder of the printing press and the inventor of typography, played an important role in the development of woodcut art. An important name among the artists is Albrecht Dürer. With the development of wood printing, the printing works became easier and the slow printing business gained speed. The rapid printing of manuscripts allowed the reproduction of books. This provides access to more people and the opportunity to read. The duplication process, which is one of the advantages of printmaking, has also allowed the use of images placed in the text or used for different purposes in serial prints without changing. Over the centuries, with the addition of different techniques, printmaking has attracted attention all over the world. In the 20th century, it was seen that the emerging Modern Art movements in Europe also benefited from printmaking. The printmaking process in Turkey begins in the 18th century. The art of printmaking developed especially in Turkish Higher Education Schools, with the start of the first printmaking initiatives with İbrahim Müteferrika, the establishment of a print workshop in the Sanayi-i Nefise School and the follow-up of these by other institutions. Painters and academicians who grew up in these schools spread all over the country and provided the teaching and development of printmaking arts. In the last 20 years, biennials, competitions, etc., especially in international and national printmaking branches. In addition to the activities, the museums opened increased the interest in printing arts. Today, a different perspective has been brought to the figure painting, especially with the artists who make experimental prints. In the introductory part of my work named "Figure in Turkish High Print Painting", the subject and problem, purpose, importance, limitation, method and universe sample of the research are explained.
