Especially in recent years, an increase in the amount of using foreign origin words without applying any elimination has been observed in our lives of which the internet and televisions have occupied a large part. We are face to an invasion of these foreign words as we see them everywhere such as on the signs of the shops, on the menus in the restaurants.People, who are sensitive to this issue, have been able to protect themselves against these invasions, but middle school students who are the main target of this survey don't ignore using these words, on the contrary they prefer using them more often in their daily lives. This survey has aimed to find out the awareness level of middle school students about these words which originally come from the western civilizations that we have been following in all fields and the oriental civilizations that we have had a lot in common and also aimed whether they know the Turkish words of foreign origin words or not.
