Analyzing the texts in Turkish textbooks (6-8) in terms of culture transfer

The issue of culture transfer and the acquisition of language skills underlying culture is frequently addressed in Turkish language education programs. For this reason, experts have felt the need to draw attention to the connection between culture and language when presenting information on language and language skills. Textbooks, which are prepared within the scope of the foundations of educational programs, are the basic tools that determine the activities and topics within which Turkish lessons will progress unless the course teachers make various choices. In this respect, it is very important to determine how and to what extent culture is utilized in the acquisition of language skills. It causes disconnection from the core culture and tradition on the grounds that people experience the problem of not being able to gain a place in social life. One of the cultural elements that help nations gain national identity can be expressed as folk music. In this context, this study aims to analyze the texts in sixth, seventh and eighth grade Turkish textbooks in terms of cultural transfer. In the first sections of the study, the relationship between culture and language was mentioned, and then the issue of culture transfer was discussed within the framework of Turkish education programs. In the last sections of the study, the texts in the sixth, seventh and eighth grade Turkish textbooks were analyzed in terms of cultural transmission
