Abstract (EN)
In Turkish Language courses, developing skills is focused rather than the transferring information. Therefore, new activities and learning schemas prepared with a different approach are always needed in the development of language domains (reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, vocabulary teaching). The aim of this study is to adapt the skill -based activities that exist in language teaching of foreign literature in a way that can be used in Turkish Language courses. In this context, the resources for language teaching basic skills; reading, writing, listening, and speaking and subskills; grammar and vocabulary in foreign literature are scanned. Among activities obtained from foreign literature those who do not exist in textbooks in Turkey were compiled, adapted to Turkish Language courses, and classified by following a certain order. This order is based on skill performances. Activities are usually listed from simple towards more complex and comprehensive skills. In the selection of the activities adapted to the Turkish Language courses, some criteria are taken into consideration such as assessing a certain information, currency, and practicality, being brief enough to use in the classroom. During the adaptation, the field experts were consulted for diversity, efficiency, currency, alterability and comprehensibility of activities and corrections and additions were made in line with their feedback. As a result of the study, a collection was built for Turkish Language courses where teachers can find at least one activity at all levels and skills. Teachers can apply these activities here in their own classes, as well as adapt them to their classes. These applications or adaptations will provide them with modern education opportunities such as getting rid of traditional assessment and evaluation methods, processing innovative alternatives and activity-based language skill development.
