Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to group and study the educational gains in Turkish teaching program in 2018 and the activities found in the sixth grade Turkish course books within the context of linguistic concepts. In this sense, we have made a research about to what degree linguistic data have been benefited from when preparing the gains of Turkish teaching programme in the sixth grade in 2018 and, if benefited, whether these gains have conceptually been reflected on the activities found in the sixth grade Turkish course books. The population of this study in which case study, one of the qualitive research designs, is applied includes Turkish teaching programmes and Turkish course books. Since it is not possible to reach the whole research population, convenience sampling, one of the purposeful sampling methods, has been implemented and 2018 Turkish teaching program and the sixth grade Turkish course books published by the MEB for the secondary schools and imam hatip secondary schools have been chosen as a paradigm of the study. The study data have been collected through document review that is one of the methods of qualitive data collection. In this sense, the 2018 Turkish teaching program and the sixth grade Turkish course book have been obtained for the study at the first stage. At the next stage, the gains of Turkish teaching program at the sixth grade have been studied together with the experts and lingusitic gains have been identified and defined. The identified gains have been reviewed by the experts within the context of sub-categories of linguistics and the collected data have been classified under the headlines of phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, textlinguistics and semiology. The transferring and processing of gains classified within the context of linguistic concepts and presented in tables have been studied and evaluated with respect to theory and practice. The transferred activities have been grouped and presented in tabular form. When analysing the data obtained in the study, descriptive analysis and content frequently applied in qualitive researches have been used. As a result of the study, it has been identified that 2018 Turkish teaching program and the sixth grade Turkish course book are largely coherent and compatible, linguistic concepts in the gains stated in the programme have compatibly been reflected on the activities. It has been seen that the most gains in the programme and course book pertain to textlinguistics and the least gains belong to phonology and syntax.
