Context selection in Turkish language teaching

Thus every nation behaves sensitively about teaching own mother tongue. In our country, Turkey, from the beginning of the primary school to end of the under graduate education, as mother tongue courses, Turkish, are compulsory for any student. Especially, during the period of primary and secondary education, context based textbooks are mainly used. These contexts are not chosen by randomly besides, in the light of some certain principles. The contexts in the textbooks must be examined in terms of having resection of their species, serving artistic value, suitability of targeting level... i.e. Moreover, they have to help pupils to achieve goals and objectives which indicate in Turkish lesson curriculums.
