The level of self-sufficient vision of Turkish teachers according to their special field competencies (Example of Afyonkarahisar province)

In this study, the level of adequate vision of Turkish teachers according to their special field competencies was examined. 312 Turkish teachers working in Afyonkarahisar province constitute the study universe population. 20 teachers were interviewed for qualitative data. The research was designed according to the mixed model, and qualitative and quantitative methods were used together. Different data collection tools were used to collect quantitative and qualitative data in order to determine the level of self-sufficient vision of Turkish teachers according to their special field competencies. For qualitative data, The Perception Scale of Turkish Teachers Special Field Competencies was used. The Scale not use articles you can use items are based on "Turkish teacher Special Field Competencies" determined by MEB (2008). A semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher was used for quantitative data. According to the results of the research, it has emerged that Turkish teachers consider themselves sufficient in all dimensions. Turkish teachers are sufficient in terms of special field competencies to plan and organize Turkish teaching, to develop students 'language skills, to monitor and evaluate students' language development, to cooperate with school, family and society, to ensure professional development in the Turkish field. It was concluded that the special field competencies of Turkish teachers do not differ according to the gender of the teachers. It was concluded that the Special Field competencies of Turkish teachers differ according to the professional seniority of the teachers. Accordingly, as seniority increases, it can be said that the level of teachers ' self-sufficient vision also increases. It has been concluded that the Special Field competencies of Turkish teachers differ according to where the teachers work. Accordingly, it was concluded that the teachers working in the provincial center considered themselves more adequate. It has been concluded that there is a harmony between adequate levels of vision perception obtained by quantitative data and opinions obtained by qualitative data. Views on specific areas of Turkish teacher qualifications can be determined by a comprehensive work to be done in other provinces across Turkey.
